Some essential oils are completely safe, however, since essential oils are so concentrated, most are not considered safe at full strength.
Many are not recommended during pregnancy, and a few present a risk if you have severe allergies.
A few essential oils are so risky if misused that we do not list them on the consumer product list. We restrict sales of these oils to trained consultants only.

Do I need to be an Aromatherapist to become a Pure Scents Consultant?
No you do not need to be an Aromatherapist to conduct Aromatherapy Home Parties as you are not treating anyone. A Pure Scents Consultant simply teaches others the benefits and safety issues of using quality essential oils and aromatherapy products. All of our methods of conducting Aromatherapy Home Parties are in the Company Manual supplied in your Consultant Starter Kit. Scentsible Ideas(tm), the Pure Scents Aromatherapy Consultant Newsletter includes Aromatherapy and sales training that will help continue your Aromatherapy and business education.
The Fundamentals of Aromatherapy by Vivian Lunny MD, an internationally respected author and aromatherapy tutor, is a recommended option made available exclusively for Pure Scents Aromatherapy Consultants for $125.00 Cnd. This training will give you credits towards the Aromatherapy Certification Programs offered by Real Essences of Life, which are accredited by the International Federation of Aromatherapists (U.K.) and the B.C.A.P.A., Canada.
Pure Scents Aromatherapy Consultants will also receive discounted rates for any further studies towards the Aromatherapy Certification Programs. An online Aromatherapy Distance Learning Course will also be available shortly through Pure Scents Aromatherapy's association with Real Essences of Life if you choose to continue your studies.

Some benefits do vary as it is up to the discretion and skills of the Individual Consultant. For example, your Pure Scents Consultant may be a Certified Chair Masseuse and offer to give you a Free Chair Massage after your Home Party as well!
